Carole and husband Laurent celebrated Valentine's Day at 7:37 AM on February 14th with the arrival of Killian LeBarbier their new son who weighed in at 7.11 lb.  Mother, father and Killian are doing well.  Carole and her delightful personality will be back in the dining room in a few weeks.

Next week check our website: www.french-restaurant-marin.com for our recipe for Tarte L'oignon- Onion Tarts. An easy to prepare appetizer.

NY Times, February 6th.

Does mixing different types of alcohol make you sick?  Is it true that beer before liquor will make you sicker?  In fact, mixing the two really has nothing to do with making you sick.  'What matters most is the amount of alcohol consumed and whether it is combined with food which to slow absorption and minimize sickness." Well, I'll drink to that!

Have you seen our new truck?  Probably yes, but you wouldn't know it. We are still incognito.  Next week, be on the lookout for our Christophe Catering, Ltd truck.  It is white and the logo will probably be blue, white and red.  Our new Catering business extends between San Francisco and Napa.  We can prepare and deliver or serve hors d'oeuvre or full course dinners, cater a 50th birthday party at your favorite winery, or serve 100 of your favorite friends in Sausalito on the water at a sister restaurant.  The Christophe Catering list of hors d'oeuvre can be found on our website: www.french-restaurant-marincom.  In our Wedding-Catering page.

Old News: Last month's Tour de Cuisine took place under a tent in front of the Spinnaker in Sausalito.  Christophe served Pierre's Coq au Vin to nearly 300 guests who enjoyed wine and food from 20 restaurants and wineries.  Organizers of the inaugural Tour of California say the eight-day bicycle race drew more than 1.3 million fans and set attendance records for a single sporting event in California and for any cycling event in the country.  ESPN covered the race every evening and on February 26, Floyd Landis crossed the finish line in Redondo Beach.  Watch out Tour de France!

Thank you for dining at Christophe and we look forward to seeing you soon.
